{"id":225936,"date":"2024-10-19T14:40:56","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:40:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-60335-2-892002a22007-2011\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T08:34:55","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T08:34:55","slug":"bs-en-60335-2-892002a22007-2011","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-60335-2-892002a22007-2011\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 60335-2-89:2002+A2:2007 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following.<\/p>\n<p>This part of IEC 60335 specifies safety requirements for electrically operated commercial refrigerating appliances that have an incorporated compressor or that are supplied in two units for assembly as a single appliance in accordance with the manufacturer\u2019s instructions (split system).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 101 Examples of appliances that are within the scope of this standard are<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><b>refrigerated display<\/b> and <b>storage cabinets<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>refrigerated trolley cabinets;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>service counters and self-service counters;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>blast chillers and blast freezers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by these types of appliances.<\/p>\n<p>It does not cover those features of construction and operation of refrigerating appliances which are dealt with in ISO standards.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 102 Attention is drawn to the fact that<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in many countries, additional requirements are specified by national authorities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 103 This standard does not apply to<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>domestic refrigerating appliances (IEC 60335-2-24)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>industrial refrigerating systems;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>motor-compressors (IEC 60335-2-34);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>commercial dispensing appliances and vending machines (IEC 60335-2-75);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>commercial ice-cream appliances;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>commercial ice makers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>cold temperature rooms;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>multiple refrigerated chambers with a remote compressor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 104 Appliances with a charge of more than 150 g of <b>flammable refrigerant<\/b> in each separate refrigerant circuit are not covered by this standard. For appliances with a charge greater than 150 g of <b>flammable refrigerant<\/b> in each refrigerant circuit and for the installation, ISO 5149 may be applied. Consequently, such appliances cannot be assessed for safety using this part 2.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Household and similar electrical appliances.
