ASTM D2029<\/h4>\n

Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1 These test methods describe the determination of the water vapor content of electrical insulating gases by direct or indirect measurement of the dew point and the calculation of the water vapor content.<\/p>\n

1.2 The following four test methods are provided:<\/p>\n

1.2.1 Method A<\/span><\/span> describes the automatic chilled mirror method for measurement of dew point as low as \u2212<\/span> 73\u00b0<\/span>C (\u2212<\/span>99\u00b0<\/span>F).<\/p>\n

1.2.2 Method B<\/span><\/span> describes the manual chilled mirror or dew cup method for measurement of dew point as low as \u2212<\/span> 73\u00b0<\/span>C (\u2212<\/span>99\u00b0<\/span>F).<\/p>\n

1.2.3 Method C<\/span><\/span> describes the adiabatic expansion method for measurement of dew point as low as \u2212<\/span> 62\u00b0<\/span>C (\u2212<\/span>80\u00b0<\/span>F).<\/p>\n

1.2.4 Method D<\/span><\/span> describes the capacitance method for measurement of dew point as low as \u2212<\/span> 110\u00b0<\/span>C (\u2212<\/span>166\u00b0<\/span>F).<\/p>\n
