{"id":284063,"date":"2024-10-19T19:13:02","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T19:13:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-iso-112622011\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T16:01:14","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T16:01:14","slug":"bs-iso-112622011","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-iso-112622011\/","title":{"rendered":"BS ISO 11262:2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This International Standard is applicable to as-received (field-moist) samples and specifies two different procedures for the liberation of cyanide from the soil:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>direct liberation of hydrogen cyanide using orthophosphoric acid (normative);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>extraction with sodium hydroxide solution and subsequent liberation using orthophosphoric acid (informative, see Annex&nbsp;B).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The liberated cyanide is determined either by a photometric method or a titrimetric method using an indicator.<\/p>\n<p>The method is applicable to all types of soil.<\/p>\n<p>Under the conditions specified in this International Standard, the lower limit of application is 0,5&nbsp;mg\/kg of total cyanide (expressed on the as-received basis) for photometric determination and 10&nbsp;mg\/kg for titrimetric determination.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE Using the alkaline extraction followed by liberation using phosphoric acid, the lower limit of application is 1&nbsp;mg\/kg of total cyanide (expressed on the as-received basis) for photometric determination and 30&nbsp;mg\/kg for titrimetric determination.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Soil quality.
