{"id":248148,"date":"2024-10-19T16:20:39","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T16:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-61287-12014\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T11:29:23","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T11:29:23","slug":"bs-en-61287-12014","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-61287-12014\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 61287-1:2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;61287<\/span> <\/span> defines terminology, service conditions, general characteristics and test methods of electronic power converters onboard of rolling stock.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard is applicable to power electronic converters mounted on board railway rolling-stock and intended for supplying<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>traction circuits;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>auxiliary circuits of power vehicles, coaches and trailers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application of this standard extends as far as possible to all other traction vehicles, including trolley-buses, for example.<\/p>\n<p>This standard covers the complete converter assembly together with its mounting arrangements containing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>semiconductor device assemblies;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>integrated cooling systems;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>integrated components like inductors, capacitors, transformers, resistors, contactors, switches;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>semiconductor drive units (SDU) and related sensors;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>incorporated protection circuits.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following types of power sources are taken into consideration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>AC contact lines,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>DC contact lines,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>on-board supplies such as generators, batteries and other electric power sources.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This standard excludes converters which provide the electronic control supply for semiconductor drive units (SDU) and other supplies relevant to the converter operation such as sensors.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;1\n <\/div>\n<p>Electronic control equipment of converters and those sensors not related to semiconductor drive units and the printed circuit board assemblies of semiconductor drive units (SDU) are covered by <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;60571<\/span> <\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;2\n <\/div>\n<p>Combined tests with the whole traction system or auxiliary supply system are not within the scope of this standard.
