{"id":226136,"date":"2024-10-19T14:41:47","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T14:41:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-60335-2-522003a112010\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T08:36:17","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T08:36:17","slug":"bs-en-60335-2-522003a112010","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-60335-2-522003a112010\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 60335-2-52:2003+A11:2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard deals with the safety of electric oral hygiene appliances for household and similar purposes, their <b>rated voltage<\/b> being not more than 250 V.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 101 Examples of appliances covered by this standard are<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>oral irrigators;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>toothbrushes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by appliances that are encountered by all persons in household and similar environments<\/p>\n<p>However, in general, it does not take into account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><b>children<\/b> playing with the appliance,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the use of toothbrushes and oral irrigators by <b>very young children<\/b> without supervision<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the use of oral irrigators by <b>very young children<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>user maintenance by <b>children,<\/b> including cleaning the appliance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is recognized that <b>very vulnerable people<\/b> may have needs beyond the level addressed in this standard.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 102 Attention is drawn to the fact that<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour and similar authorities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 103 This standard does not apply to appliances for medical purposes (IEC 60601).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Household and similar electrical appliances.
