It is most useful in providing relative ratings for a series of coated panels exhibiting significant differences in scratch resistance.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n   NOTE\n  <\/div>\n<p>Neither this document nor <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;1518-1<\/span> <\/span> specifies a method using a curved stylus, which is specified in <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;12137<\/span> <\/span>.
