Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> This test method covers the determination of total sulfur in liquid hydrocarbons with a final boiling point less than 450\u2009\u00b0C by gas chromatography using a flame photometric detector.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> This test method is applicable for total sulfur levels from 0.5\u2009mg S\/kg to 100\u2009mg S\/kg.<\/p>\n

Note 1:<\/span> The pooled limit of quantification (PLOQ) derived from the 2002 interlaboratory cooperative test program was determined to be 1\u2009mgS\/kg.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Note 2:<\/span> Samples can also be tested at other total sulfur levels, but the precision statements may not apply.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
