Requirements apply to anyone engaged in the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and testing of emergency response vehicles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Updated requirements at all three levels of EVT address the technological enhancements in new apparatus. Also in the 2011 edition are changes that delineate the three levels of EVT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EVT I responsible for operational checks<\/li>\n<li>EVT II responsible for performance checks<\/li>\n<li>EVT III responsible for supervision and managerial skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the skills and knowledge requirements contained in each level of EVT are up-to-date with <em>NFPA 1901,<\/em> and there&#8217;s a new skills maintenance requirement for each of the three levels.
