The change in length is calculated and shown in percent. The change in length at a specific elevated temperature is measured and used to calculate the coefficient of thermal expansion.<\/p>\n<p>1.3 This test method is limited to materials with aggregate size of 0.25 in. (6 mm) or less.<\/p>\n<p>1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.
