This position statement provides the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) rationale for:
- not considering cylinders with plain valves as medical devices; and
- considering valve integrated pressure regulators (VIPRs) the same as standalone pressure regulators utilizing product code CAN and for eliminating product code ECX.
