This document describes the procedure to install and organize smart transportation for parking lot allocation to drivers in cities. It is intended to apply to cities, especially those having a shortage or low availability ratio of parking lots. This smart transportation still aims at a solution to the city issue of difficulty for drivers in finding vacant parking lots in a short time, with which other solutions can be expected additionally to traffic accidents and congestion, energy consumption, air pollution as well as noise and vibration in a city.

This document clarifies the concept and goals of smart transportation by referring to the technical aspects suggested by ITU-T Y.4456: 2018, Requirements and functional architecture for smart parking lots in smart cities.
