This European Standard specifies the marking rules for aerospace products, semi-finished products, and ready to use parts, which need surface marking by discoloration using a laser source to identify the part and/or enhance its traceability. This type of marking can be used on a wide range of materials (both metallic and non-metallic) and coatings (paints, varnishesā¦). It is in line with the part definition.
