This British Standard relates to the dimensions, quality, finish and performance of axes with rubber insulated handles intended for use by Fire Services.
In addition to the final physical and electrical tests on the finished article, certain test requirements to be met during production are laid down.
Recommendations for periodic electrical retest of the insulation are included in an Appendix .
