This standard describes methods of test for the following cellulose acetate flake properties:

1. moisture content;

2. ash content;

3. acetic acid yield;

4. bulk density;

5. particle size distribution;

6. free acidity;

7. viscosity ratio of a 5 g/L solution at 25 °C;

8. viscosity at a concentration of 60 g/L;

9. viscosity at 25 % concentration at 25 °C;

10. insoluble particles;

11. original light absorption and change of light absorption after heating of plasticized cellulose acetate;

1. the reduction in viscosity ratio on moulding.
