This Standard establishes requirements for grease interceptors that are equipped with automatic grease removal devices (GRD). It includes testing requirements and performance criteria designed to ensure conformance to this Standard. Such devices are designed for the purpose of automatically removing free-floating grease, fats, and oils from sanitary discharges without intervention from the user except for maintenance. Semiautomatic devices are not addressed in this Standard.
