Deals with the safety of electric portable appliances for household and similar purposes that have a cooking function such as baking, roasting and grilling, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. This standard will supersede AS/NZS 60335.2.9:2009 two years from the date of publication. During this period it is anticipated that regulatory authorities will approve grills, toasters and similar portable cooking appliances to either standard. Adopted with national modifications from, and includes the text of IEC 60335-2-9 Ed 6.1.
